Copyright and takedown requests

We publish games licensed through GameMonetize and we do not host game code ourselves. Even so, mistakes happen upstream: a game can be syndicated by someone who had no right to syndicate it, or artwork can turn up where it does not belong. If you hold the rights to something published here, this page is how to get it taken down.

What to send

Write to [email protected] with Copyright in the subject line, and include:

  1. Identification of the work you hold rights in — the game, artwork, text or trademark.
  2. The exact address of the page or pages on this site that you say infringe it.
  3. Enough to show the right is yours: a link to the original, a store or distributor listing, a registration number, or your position at the company that owns it.
  4. Your name, organisation and an address we can reply to.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the rights holder or the law, and that the information you have given is accurate.

What happens next

Complete requests are acted on quickly — normally within a few working days, and the usual outcome is that the page is unpublished while we look into it rather than after. We will tell you what we did. Where a game came to us through a distributor, we also pass the complaint up the chain, because the same title is probably live on a hundred other sites.

If you think a removal was wrong

Developers whose game was pulled on a complaint can write to the same address with evidence of their rights, and the page goes back up if the claim does not hold. We would rather a game be offline for a week than credited to the wrong people.

A note on the site name

This site is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Poki B.V. or any other portal. The phrase “poki games” is used here as the search term people actually type for free browser games. If you represent a trademark holder and want to discuss that use, write to the address above and you will get a reply from a person, not a form.
