About Break Beat

Break Beat is a brick-breaker with a twist: both your paddle and the ball change color based on what they touch, and you must manage a draining energy meter to survive. You guide the paddle along the bottom of the screen, bouncing the ball upward to smash through layers of colored bricks. Every time the ball hits a brick it adopts that brick's color, and your paddle takes on the color of any ball it catches. The trick is to match your paddle color to the bricks you destroy—doing so releases protons that refill your energy bar, which depletes steadily and accelerates as you play. Miss the ball and it costs you even more energy. Clear every brick to advance to the next stage.
