About Dead Rails

Dead Rails drops you into a zombie-ravaged Wild West where an armored train is your only lifeline. You travel between desolate stations, disembarking to scavenge abandoned buildings for fuel, ammunition and equipment while fending off waves of infected. Back on the train you manage your inventory, upgrade weapons and plan your next stop. The game mixes on-foot exploration and combat with train-driving segments: you must keep moving to stay ahead of the horde, but every stop risks an ambush. Resources are scarce, so every decision—whether to push deeper into a ruined town or retreat to the rails—matters. As you progress the mutants grow tougher and fuel runs low, forcing you to balance risk and reward.
