Mad Day Special drops you into an alien invasion with one goal: rescue your pet octopus, Fluffy, and survive the chaos. You pilot an upgradable truck through hostile terrain, blasting UFOs and alien forces with mounted rockets while navigating steep hills and destructible obstacles. The game mixes racing physics with combat—you must manage speed and firepower simultaneously as enemies attack from the air and ground. Between runs you spend collected resources on better armor, stronger weapons, and vehicle improvements that let you push deeper into alien territory. Later sections force you to abandon the truck and fight on foot with a shotgun, adding a new layer of challenge.
